Schaeffer Bar and Chain Oil is designed to lubricate chainsaw bar and chains, slides and saw guides. A one-grade lubricant , Schaeffer 116BC eliminates the need to change viscosity grade with temperature change. This para-synthetic, tacky, heavy-duty oil rapidly penetrates into the pins and bushings of the chain, offering a strong defense against metal-to-metal contact and chain stretch. In addition, Schaeffer Bar and Chain Lube helps free frozen chains and prevent new chains from freezing, resists sling off and splatter, protects against rust and corrosion, and forms a protective layer against abrasive particles.
