SAR-GEL® BLUE water finding paste is a fast, reliable tool for detecting water in the bottom of tanks filled with fuel and other water-incompatible materials. The orange paste turns navy blue on contact with water, making it especially effective in alcohol blend systems. SAR-GEL® BLUE is free from carcinogenic, mutagenic, and reprotoxic (CMR) substances.
SAR-GEL® BLUE by Arkema detects water in the bottom of tanks containing gasoline, gasoline/ethanol blends up to 20% ethanol, diesel, jet fuel, fuel oil, biodiesel, solvents, and other water-incompatible materials.
Water contamination in fuel tanks can ruin valuable product, causing loss of inventory and profit. SAR-GEL® BLUE was designed to detect this water quickly and reliably, working especially well in alcohol blend systems where accurate detection matters most.

SAR-GEL® BLUE works through a high-contrast color change. When applied to a gauge stick or probe and lowered into a tank, the orange paste turns dark navy blue on contact with water. This makes the water level easy to read, even in demanding conditions.
