Choosing the correct banding product for your application can be very confusing.  There are a lot of variables that contribute to the correct size and metal needed.   Strength and durability play a huge part in every job and banding application.  The two major groups  of steel discussed are 201 Stainless Steel and 316 Stainless Steel.  We have tired to simplify were each type of metal is used by giving a few examples.  Below there is a chart with the average breaking strength in relation to width of the steel band.

Tools needed to apply Band-It Stainless Steel Banding:

Band-It C00169 is used to apply both 201 and 316  BAND-IT Stainless Steel Banding .  Tensions over 2,400 lbs of force and cuts off the tail of the clamp being formed.  A blue powder coated finish protects this tool from rust and corrosion.  C00169 Directions
Band-It C00369 is used for applications requiring extra strength. Tensions over 3,300 pounds of force.  Manufactured with a extra heavy duty tough design.  C00369 Directions
Band-It C07569 Bantam Tool is a compact light weight ratcheting tool with a built in cutter.  3 way handle adjusts for one or two-handed tensioning .  Can also be used for general purpose strapping.   C007569 Directions
