Temperature indicators are designed to accurately measure surface temperatures of various metals and equipment. Temperature sticks, when applied to a heated surface will melt when the precise temperature is reached. The range of temperatures that can be shown by use of temperature indicating sticks is 100 degrees Fahrenheit up to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. Critical temperature measurement applications include, but are not limited to, preheating, post-weld heat treating, interpass temperature monitoring, stress relieving and annealing. Ideal for use in a variety of industries such as engine and metal fabrication plants, bridge construction, shipyards, boiler systems, nuclear plants and the welding industry, the composition of temperature indicating products has been carefully controlled to avoid formation of low-melting point eutectic alloys at the surface of the workpiece. For additional information about the applications and benefits of surface temperature indicators be sure to check out our growing line of products including Thermomelt Heat-Stiks, Tempil Temperature Indicating Labels and Nuclear Pre-Certified Thermomelts.
